Program Overview

The Rowan Experience
Open Close

Our online Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Law and Justice program offers students solid academic preparation in the law and the criminal justice system with an interdisciplinary approach to coursework. The program aims to increase students' knowledge of crime and society's response to crime while enhancing their critical thinking, reasoning, writing, and logic skills. Through evaluation and analysis of criminal justice policies and programs, law, and correlates and causes of crime, students will gain a thorough understanding of the intended and unintended consequences of criminal justice decision making on social and community justice, victims and offenders.

This program prepares students for professional careers in such areas as law enforcement and security services, court services, corrections, and human services, and offers the rigorous preparation necessary to eventually pursue graduate studies and professional school programs.

The program is also available as a 3+1 program through our Rowan College partner institutions (Rowan College of Burlington County [RCBC] or Rowan College of South Jersey [RCSJ]).

We’re a transfer-friendly school. We offer resources to help you see how your previously earned credits from a community college, a four-year institution or military training will transfer to this program. To explore this further, check out the Rowan Transfer Equivalency Digital Portal (TREQ) or Transferology.
