Mission

Welcome to Rowan University Ujima Female Student Mentoring Component. The Ujima Female Student Mentoring Component of the Dr. Harley E. Flack Student Mentoring Program is a student mentoring support organization under the auspice of the Division of Student Affairs committed to the constructive development of mentees within the undergraduate collegiate environment, and their retention, graduation, and advance degree exploration.

Goal:

To increase recruitment and retention of student enrollment at Rowan University and to promote student success.

Objectives:

  • To build skills required in the market place
  • To develop friendships with peers, administrator, faculty, and staff
  • To develop career direction and prioritize goals
  • To become an engaged member of the university community
  • To enhance academic experience and maintain good academic standing
  • To build self-esteem and enthusiasm
