Office of Research
We are responsible for promoting, supporting and administering the research, scholarly and creative activity of all the faculty, staff and students at Rowan University. We are here to support you in: Identifying opportunities for sponsored research; Advocating for our faculty with external research sponsors and collaborators; Administering all aspects of the sponsored research process including ensuring compliance with applicable Federal, State and University rules and laws; Fostering the creation, management and technology transfer of intellectual property; Reporting research performance metrics to stakeholders, both internally and externally.
Research at Rowan University occurs in a collaborative, learning-centered environment. Highly qualified and diverse teams of faculty, staff, and students integrate teaching, research, scholarship, creative activity, and community service. Our collaborations with other institutions extend across the State of New Jersey, the country and even internationally. Our faculty are becoming renowned for their research expertise, as demonstrated by the increasing number of competitive grant awards and publications in prestigious peer-reviewed journals.
Dr. Shreekanth Mandayam, vice president for research, is the single point of contact for companies wanting to do business with Rowan University, Rowan School of Osteopathic Medicine, and Cooper University School of Medicine at Rowan University.

The mission of the Office of Sponsored Programs is to provide Rowan faculty with information and guidance for the submission of proposals to federal, state, and industrial sponsors, and to provide effective stewardship of awarded funds.
The Office of Technology Commercialization (OTC) is responsible for aligning innovations to respond to commercially unmet market needs.
